Baked Spaghetti isn’t something I ever really thought about eating. I mean, regular spaghetti was good enough, why would you want to bake it and mess up yet another dish? After breaking down and making it, though, I could see what all the fuss was about.

If you’re looking for a creamy, cheesy spaghetti meal, this one’s for you. You can make this with canned spaghetti sauce, but if you’re going to make a good home-cooked meal anyway, why not make our Homemade Spaghetti Sauce? It makes this dish even more incredible.

After you’ve made your sauce and you’re letting it simmer for a while, go ahead and cook the noodles according to package directions. Just use your favorite noodle. I chose to use thin spaghetti noodles here, but you can use angel hair, regular spaghetti noodles, or even penne.

Once your noodles are done, drain them and grab a 9 X 13 baking dish. I have tried using smaller dishes, but this makes a large amount of food and sometimes it bubbles over. Now you’re ready to layer your ingredients.
To assemble this spaghetti, you’re going to make seven layers. First, put a layer of noodles into the bottom of the dish. Next, add a layer of the spaghetti sauce. Then, add 6 to 8 ounces of Parmesan cheese (you can use fresh grated or bottled) to taste. After that, add another layer of noodles, and another layer of spaghetti sauce. On top of the sauce, spread a can of cream of mushroom soup, followed by a top layer of 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese. I would err on the side of caution and put this baking dish on a cookie sheet just in case anything bubbles over. Bake this in your preheated 350-degree oven until the cheese is melted.

Serve this with your favorite garlic bread or cheesy bread stick, and get ready to sit back and rub your belly when you’re done because this stuff is really good.
What about you? Do you prefer baked spaghetti or regular spaghetti?
